We had a few windows replaced in the beginning and had several issues including glass in our yard with my son cutting his foot. We spoke with management when we were thinking of completing the rest of our windows because we had some concerns. We were given the best installers and the manager personally came to our house to meet with us. We agreed to complete the rest of our windows. We were quoted the incorrect amount but we worked out a deal after that. However they had to come out multiple times due to either incorrect window or missing items and we are still waiting on the correct screens and this has been going on for a couple of years. Luckily I work from home or this would have equated to multiple multiple days off of work.

Areas Of Satisfaction - The windows were ready much early than I expected. The installers were respectful and clearly knew what they were doing. They addressed some concerns and made corrections until I was satisfied with the install. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves which doesn’t always happen. I love my windows!

I will definitely recommend Universal Windows to anyone looking to replace the windows in their home.

Salesman was professional and personable. Measurement was "kinda" okay, but since the install took about a month and a half to complete, obviously they were way over their head. Take out of the palladium window was excruciating to watch, since it didn't seem to me they knew what they were doing. And then.....the install !! They got the window in alright, but ALL the trim work on the outside looked TERRIBLE !! I asked about all the wrinkles in the outside trim, and the answer was "what do you expect with nails being hammered in" !!! Just VERY poor workmanship, and even worse customer interaction/treatment. The outside was finally finished to my satisfaction correctly by another worker some weeks later. Of course don't even try getting me to explain the trouble getting the INTERIOR trim of the window finished........but the entire window project [exterior and interior] was finally finished in approximately 1 1/2 months.....So.....from my perspective and my experience, I would NOT recommend !!

This install was for a new addition/ new construction windows. Sales guy Nick was nice and responded well to my questions and concerns after the sale. The guy that came out and measured the windows was knowledgeable and informed me if what was needed.

BUT the installation was not completed correctly to inspection code. On new installs, before new windows are installed, flashing tape should have been taped inside on the bottom of the window before the new windows were to be installed in order to pass inspections. If UWD does not provide this service, it should have been communicated to me prior to the install that that was something I need to provide myself by the install team or the guy that came out to measure windows. Being educated more in the inspection requirements would be beneficial for UWD install team.

I did not find out about this until after the windows were installed and did not pass inspection therefore I had to tape flashing tape around the windows to pass the inspection stage. I honestly feel that if the windows were to be installed by UWD that it should have been installed correctly to code. After all, for the price that I paid per window, over $5k for only 4 windows, I feel that it should have been installed correctly without me having to worry about taking that extra step.

We could n0t be more pleased with the whole experience with Universal Windows Direct! From our initial contact and visit with Austin Fields explaining the windows, to Keith and Cliff installing our new windows we are thrilled with our purchase. Keith and Cliff did an awesome job installing them! They were so careful with the inside wood trim and outside vinyl !

I received very poor customer service and the workmanship was unsatisfactory. The staff were threatening and unprofessional. I would never recommend doing business with this company!

High quality window construction. Installation was smooth and professional. Fully cleaned up after installation. Excellent job in blending new windows into molding.

They are very easy to work with and they communicate well. The quality of the windows and the work are very good.

Nice windows but minor issues upon installation and poor communication post installation.

I assumed double hung windows came with full screens. They only come with half screens and wanted to charge me $50 a window to swap out the 9 half screens they installed and replace them with full screens. I just paid these folk over 11k. I feel duped. Not happy.

Sloppy job of manufacturing windows - cutouts too big allow for leaks, and very sloppy caulking job around all 8 windows - do they even know what a caulk line should look like?!? Also a few windows not installed level!!! Also damaged some of my property during removal of old windows! New windows not left in clean condition.
