Areas Of Satisfaction - The windows were ready much early than I expected. The installers were respectful and clearly knew what they were doing. They addressed some concerns and made corrections until I was satisfied with the install. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves which doesn’t always happen. I love my windows!

I will definitely recommend Universal Windows to anyone looking to replace the windows in their home.

Salesman was professional and personable. Measurement was "kinda" okay, but since the install took about a month and a half to complete, obviously they were way over their head. Take out of the palladium window was excruciating to watch, since it didn't seem to me they knew what they were doing. And then.....the install !! They got the window in alright, but ALL the trim work on the outside looked TERRIBLE !! I asked about all the wrinkles in the outside trim, and the answer was "what do you expect with nails being hammered in" !!! Just VERY poor workmanship, and even worse customer interaction/treatment. The outside was finally finished to my satisfaction correctly by another worker some weeks later. Of course don't even try getting me to explain the trouble getting the INTERIOR trim of the window finished........but the entire window project [exterior and interior] was finally finished in approximately 1 1/2 months.....So.....from my perspective and my experience, I would NOT recommend !!

This install was for a new addition/ new construction windows. Sales guy Nick was nice and responded well to my questions and concerns after the sale. The guy that came out and measured the windows was knowledgeable and informed me if what was needed.

BUT the installation was not completed correctly to inspection code. On new installs, before new windows are installed, flashing tape should have been taped inside on the bottom of the window before the new windows were to be installed in order to pass inspections. If UWD does not provide this service, it should have been communicated to me prior to the install that that was something I need to provide myself by the install team or the guy that came out to measure windows. Being educated more in the inspection requirements would be beneficial for UWD install team.

I did not find out about this until after the windows were installed and did not pass inspection therefore I had to tape flashing tape around the windows to pass the inspection stage. I honestly feel that if the windows were to be installed by UWD that it should have been installed correctly to code. After all, for the price that I paid per window, over $5k for only 4 windows, I feel that it should have been installed correctly without me having to worry about taking that extra step.

We could n0t be more pleased with the whole experience with Universal Windows Direct! From our initial contact and visit with Austin Fields explaining the windows, to Keith and Cliff installing our new windows we are thrilled with our purchase. Keith and Cliff did an awesome job installing them! They were so careful with the inside wood trim and outside vinyl !

I received very poor customer service and the workmanship was unsatisfactory. The staff were threatening and unprofessional. I would never recommend doing business with this company!

High quality window construction. Installation was smooth and professional. Fully cleaned up after installation. Excellent job in blending new windows into molding.

They are very easy to work with and they communicate well. The quality of the windows and the work are very good.

I assumed double hung windows came with full screens. They only come with half screens and wanted to charge me $50 a window to swap out the 9 half screens they installed and replace them with full screens. I just paid these folk over 11k. I feel duped. Not happy.

Sloppy job of manufacturing windows - cutouts too big allow for leaks, and very sloppy caulking job around all 8 windows - do they even know what a caulk line should look like?!? Also a few windows not installed level!!! Also damaged some of my property during removal of old windows! New windows not left in clean condition.

Just a bad experience all around!! First time installers were the start of a downhill run. Price we paid for this overpriced window was a terrible decision on my end. I can assure you it will never happen again!

I would recommend that anyone looking for windows to get estimates from other companies because UWDC comes in and tells you a price in which if you don't accept then you will not get the windows at that price. The salesman said but the quality and I said but i don't have nothing to compare it to because they was the first one I talked to. I had 3 other companies lined up to listen to and see their quality and prices. I cancelled them because I felt like I would not be offered this price again in which I still don't know if it was a good price. I would tell people make sure get quotes and check other companies first before UWDC. UWDC also wanted 50% down and 40% when windows come in to their warehouse. So pay 90% before windows even installed and the other 10% when installation was complete. I told salesman if I had to do it over I would have went ahead and got quotes from other companies and take my chances.

The installation was shoddy. There is going to be problems down the road.

Windows are not TRIMMED on the out wasp's and yellow jackets can make nests under neath the trim.

I had my patio doors and garden window installed a week ago. The appearance of all material looks nice - really helps update my 1986 house. I thought the sales experience, financing and technician's measurement process went well - all were friendly and professional. My primary issue is with the installers and the quality of their workmanship. Specific details are provide below.

One window did not fit. No one has called me to discuss the plan going forward.

The salesman Nick was very helpful anytime I had questions, the quality of the windows are exceptional and the installers did a great job. The reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 was because one of my windows arrived broken and the installers did not complete the installation in 1 day as promised and were 3 hours late arriving the next day to complete the installation. Other than that, I am very satisfied with UWD.

I can not get the windows out to clean them: I can only get 2 of them to come out; because the screens don’t come off

My experience is as stated above

Other than the gentleman that did the final install, this experience has been the worst of my life. The front window was torn apart before finding out the new window did not fit, it was months before the correct window was installed, that install quality was as good as a kindergartner would have done and someone had to come back to correct it. One upstairs window did not have the grid lines ordered and it took five tries and over one year to finally get it right. I pray the window quality is sufficient so I never have to deal with Universal Windows for warranty issues.

I had to keep initiating contact to follow up on repairs, one UWD got their money, they seemed to be significantly absent from the customer service they promote so much during the sale.

My new windows were installed on 7 Sep 2023. I have no reason to believe (yet) there is anything wrong with the windows.

Our Universal Windows Direct installation went superbly and we are more than pleased. We absolutely love our new windows and recommend Universal Windows very strongly. Everyone interested in replacing their windows should definitely call Universal Windows Direct. You will not be disappointed!

Fast and friendly

I would likely recommend universal windows to anyone that needs to have their windows replaced. They were on time professional, and they cleaned up after the project was over. I love my windows.

I specifically, on several occasions, explained that we did not want to waste your time or our time on a long winded presentation (like one we endured from Anderson), only to have a price over $1500. That's what we got. The rep then deleted the advantages he had explained to get to a price ( and product) comparable to what was offered by Lowes. Aside from the installation performance (once they finally arrived), the sales experience was a let down.

The installer came when they said they would and was very professional, the installer Brad was every helpful and answered any questions I had and he went over everything with me before he left. The installers with him were also good.

Horrible customer service ruined the entire experience. Hope you don't have a family emergency come up at the same time as your install.

I would recommend universal window to all my friends

A 1 day job took them 3 year and 14 separate days we had to take off to be home till they finally completed the job. The salesman tells you they have their own crews and not subtracted out, that's a lie. They tell you we have your stuff to get the job done, when they get here they don't have the right stuff and the crews have no idea what they are supposed to do. Then after all that they offer you $400 dollars, what a joke will tell people to stay away from this company. Every time you talk to them if you can even get a hold of them, it's another lie.
