Quality of the window is great. Sales presentation is lacking. No info on cost of labor and cost of individual windows during pitch. Feels like you are covering up how much the cost of product is. Also sales representative appeared agitated when wanting to consider the cost and possibly not closing the deal. People calling from office don't know what is going on. Quality installer, efficient and did good work. 3 star just on product and installer. Would have left a 2 star otherwise.

From presentation to installation everything was top notched and exactly as they told was. Installation team was awesome. Greg and his crew of two Mike’s knew their jobs and got right after it. 12 windows installed in a little over four hours and did a great job. Left no mess behind. Everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and answered any questions we had with no problem. We have definitely recommended Universal Windows Direct to folks already. It was a pleasure doing business with all of them!

Over 18000$ for junk had to replace all glass in every window bad place that had to be fixed now I have a window that something fell out and now won’t stay up

The first two times Universal put windows in were great. This third time has not been a charm. The windows are not finished. All they did was come out to remeasure.

The technician who replaced my screens was very detail oriented and professional. He completed his work efficiently and was very courteous
Not enough space to explain the horrific experience I’ve had in detail. Took 2 years to finally be completed with the job and had to keep reordering windows due to being wrong or damaged. The first installer was so bad another team had to come back numerous times to uninstall 12 windows and reinstall them along with the new slider door.
Happy with the product. The installers were great. Very efficient, neat and professional.
The scheduling went smoothly, the installers were on time, organized, professional, friendly, and left no mess.
Whole process was smooth and timely. Windows look fantastic!!

I'm still waiting to hear back from Tim regarding a date for someone to come out and finish our project. I left a voicemail for him on 5/18 and another one this morning.
There is still one sliding glass door remaining to be installed (the wrong size was ordered), a defective stationary window that needs to be replaced, a tear in a screen that was installed, deep scratches/gouges in one of the sliding glass door screens and as I left in 2 voicemails to Tim, one of the windows that was installed has a crack in it.
In closing, when these items are corrected, I will change my recommendation reply but not before then.

Quality installers and windows., not so much with scheduling
We were very happy with the windows and the contract company that installed the windows. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the Salesman, the gentleman who came to re-measure our windows and the person who scheduled installation all reassured me that the rotted wood would be replaced and taken care of. When the installers came nobody had even spoken to them about it and apparently they never replace wood during a window install. So, we felt like promising that they would replace the wood was more to get the sale of the window then telling us the truth. That was really disappointing. Other wise, we are happy with the windows so far. Having Universal Windows out to re-seal the caulking around the inside of the windows since it looks like it shrunk and not sealed.
Took Universal Windows almost a year to follow up with a replacement screen door. We leave messages that are not returned and the received an email stating that they can’t get a hold of us.
I was impressed from the start. No high pressure to buy, very educational and listened to what I wanted. The crew was very professional friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend universal windows to others.
Very professional and timely from start to finish. As the commercials say; I do love my new windows!
Had to reschedule multiple times so I had to use multiple vacation days. I started to notice condensation on the windows when the temperature gets really cold.
What the sales person said, and what was reality or two different things as far as how long it takes the windows to get in.

The price was considerably higher than I expected, but I have to admit that I did not attempt to price the units from other vendors. The salesman was also having a hard time accepting that much of his pitch was not aimed at someone who already knew he needed replacement of the units.
We will see how the situation is handled before I can reply
So far I have not received any call telling me when the wrong windows will be fixed or when I can expect the ones that I didn't get because they were not measured properly. Not a great experience so far.
after instaling the windows and looking over the job, we seen where they cracked and badly chipped our trim around the windows. there were dirty finger prints on the white window frames on a couple of windows. they did not clean the glass, it was dirty and the very hard to get off stickers on the glass was left for us to remove. we had to repaint all of the trim around all of the windows. this is not the way things looked a couple years ago when you did our first windows.
Did an excellent job installing thw windows and a quick and efficient manner.
The initial crew sent to do the final trim inside and out were poor quality. The windows are great but you have to have good finishing crews. Second crew was awesome!

Salesman was good, i should of shopped around. I think overall good quality/price. Customer Service needs to talk to their departments regarding permits and scheduling.
Installation looks horrible.
The lack of communication really put a hinder on me referring this company to another person.
Our installation started over 2 weeks ago and I only just yesterday received a call to finish the installation which will be next Tuesday meaning that our job took a month to install. The job was also not completed in any way to our satisfaction. I would never recommend such service to a friend.

We had 11 windows installed by Ransom, Maggie, Rob and the rest of the crew. We had some windows in brick, removal of a bay window and a few other challenging windows. They were totally awesome, professional, friendly, and hard working. Ransom not only managed the entire install but did all the fine trim work, he is truly a master carpenter! We had an excellent experience and know it was because of the install crews dedication to customer satisfaction. If you are looking for new windows, check out UWD and I hope you get the same crew for your job.

Overall we’re happy now that the project is completed but during the process it took forever and got delayed a few times by the company
My only dissatisfaction was the fact that when the original measure date was canceled due to an emergency with the measurer I was put at the bottom of the list for my windows to be measured which was a little over a month later than the original date. I feel like I should have been scheduled within a day or two even if it was after hours. It took no more than half an hour to complete the measuring when he did come. The person that scheduled was pretty much indifferent to the fact that this increased my installation time by at least a month. I was not happy with the "that's the first time we have open" attitude. I realize emergencies cannot be avoided but I also feel like everything should be done to keep the customer's order on track. I felt like the attitude was sorta like "this is the way it is so live with it".
