We are currently waiting for a replacement of 2 side by side windows from our order that were manufactured upside down, but installed anyway. I did not realize this until I attempted to lift them out for spring cleaning. A technician came out and told me what the problem was. That was 2 months ago and we have not heard back. Today we called and the person we spoke with was no better than talking with an automated robot-no apology or sympathy, no explanation for our long wait except to say that they had attempted to call us a few times. Neither of our phones shows any calls from Universal or phone messages or emails to update us. To go nearly the entire summer without being able to wash my windows is unacceptable. We are very disappointed.

Quality of the window is great. Sales presentation is lacking. No info on cost of labor and cost of individual windows during pitch. Feels like you are covering up how much the cost of product is. Also sales representative appeared agitated when wanting to consider the cost and possibly not closing the deal. People calling from office don't know what is going on. Quality installer, efficient and did good work. 3 star just on product and installer. Would have left a 2 star otherwise.

My only complaint is the installers left stickers and caulk on the windows.

My whole experience with Universal Windows Direct of Columbus was wonderful, from the first phone call to when the installers left! I will definitely recommend Universal Windows Direct of Columbus to all my friends. Windows came MUCH quicker than I was told by sales person. So happy!

Measure Technician’s Precision - To the 1/8" - He knew what he was doing!!! I appreciate it because my brother had Universal do his windows a couple of years ago and they measured wrong or the numbers were put into the system wrong but they were delayed another 4 weeks, which made it a very long time to get their windows. But when they were done, they looked fantastic. That is why I went with Universal!

Overall Installation Experience - The installation crew was only one guy. He did an excellent job. He was on time. Clean and respectful of our home. He went out of his way to make sure everything was good.

The entire window buying process was great! From sales to instillation we had excellent communication from them letting us know next steps, etc.

From presentation to installation everything was top notched and exactly as they told was. Installation team was awesome. Greg and his crew of two Mike’s knew their jobs and got right after it. 12 windows installed in a little over four hours and did a great job. Left no mess behind. Everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and answered any questions we had with no problem. We have definitely recommended Universal Windows Direct to folks already. It was a pleasure doing business with all of them!

the sales person was knowledgeable on the product but was a bit pushy with making the sale. It took some negotiating to get the true bottom line price which was WAY off from the original price given. However, everything else from customer service, scheduling, and installation was great. The installers called ahead, where on time and extremely professional. They explained the process and kept me in the loop during the install. The windows look great and the clean-up was spotless.

The entire experience from ordering to delivery and installation was a complete nightmare. Sales completely abandon you after ordering. All three of my installations were not ideal. First one missed ordered hardware, windows and materials. Second time team came out to replace a window that had the wrong grid style from original order. Third time installation was SO sloppy and had to be redone. Also left scraps everywhere in house including a razor blade left in my living room, where I have small children and pets! Communication was awful! Every team blamed the other on the issues. Very little help or empathy from supervisors, one even told me the wrong window grid issue was my fault. Ants are now coming in from my front windows. Obviously didn't do a good job at fully chalking around the window. Every customer service issue always had to have a guy come out to assess the work before the item was ordered or repair, often not coming prepared with anything because he couldn't find the notes from the customer service team. Nightmare! Price was OK but all of this is not worth it!

The crew that installed my windows done a very good job. I would recommend them. So far love the windows. There is a strong smell in the house. Don’t know if it’s from the vinyl or the cocking that was used. We’re dealing with it.

Since Installation, We have had one Window that wasn't fully installed and another has a crack in it from poor instalation.

Installers were great they did a wonderful job. my issue is that the patio door isn't the configuration I thought I order and that's why i rate this a 4.

The crew I had did a great job on my windows so I recommended universal to my daughter and they totally screwed the installation up. The windows came in the wrong color and they had to wait on the right ones to come in, then after they were installed they figured out they were the wrong windows, they didn’t have the right glass. Totally screwed everything up which is unacceptable with how much they cost.
