Van Metre Homes and their window/door contractor (Ply Gem Windows and Doors) did an excellent job standing behind their warrantied windows in a Van Metre house that we recently bought. One of the dining room window sashes was cloudy due to a leak in the upper sash's glass insert. Even though we weren't the original owners and the windows were 7 years old Gem Windows and Doors replaced the glass insert for no charge for the insert. Their warranty did not cover the installation of the glass insert into the upper sash however.

We had some difficulty finding an installation contractor that we knew was competent to make this repair so we contacted the customer service manager @ Van Metre Homes (Rebecca Leach). She was very helpful. Even though she didn't have any contractor referrals herself she put me in contact with Van Metre's Design+Build Team (James Wood). James
was extremely helpful. He sent one of their tech's (Robbie) to do the installation and when he discovered a problem with the glass insert (wrong dimensions) that we had been sent, Robbie and James searched their company contacts to find and install the correct size insert. They were very resourceful and went way out of their way to solve my installation problem.

Van Metre is a five star company and their services are the same in their Design-Build. I was referred to Van Metre by a friend and Chris Fadden , and it was the best decision I have ever made with home renovations.

We have done two projects with Van Metre Design+Build, a garage and a patio/steps/pergola. Both came out fantastic. The garage took extra time, mainly because of the electricity, which was beyond the control of Van Metre Design+Build. However, we were kept informed and alerted to options to still accomplish the task. If we come up with a third project we will clearly use them again.
