We love our bay window, it's perfect!
Find out all that you can before installation.
They were quick and efficient.
love my windows but they broke one on installing and said it would be replaced and it is not getting done. I have called and not getting answers!
We had a little bit of problem with communication early on but that was resolved and the project went very well. The product is beautiful and we are already recommending Wellington to friends of ours.
I was very impressed with the staff and the workmanship. They were friendly and removed the old windows. Very good work.
Very happy with the product and service!
Absolutely fantastic!
Their materials are good, prices are high and they have a lack of follow-up. I have been doing business with them since 1990. They were really good at the last house. They have new ownership and management.
Wellington replaced the remaining (13) original windows in our home. We had other window manufactures bid the job but went with Wellington because we felt the window construction is better suited for Minnesota climate over other vinyl offerings. We also liked local manufactures build the product keeping the work local and Wellington has been doing business in this region for many years. The sales person not only held new window knowledge but also held in-depth construction expertise giving us the comfort the job would be done right. The installers were productive and efficient with their time and considerate of our space while working in the home. We are very pleased with the finished result and neighbors have commented on how nice the new windows look. I highly recommend doing business with Wellington.
Wellington did a fantastic job, both in sales and installation. Would highly recommend Wellington if you are in need of new windows. I absolutely LOVE them !!
The job was done on time. I am very happy with the result.
Any ratings below a 4 were the result of some issues last year. Despite those issues, we went back to Wellington again this year because the final product and quality were great, and this year's experience went without a hitch. We'll go back again next year as we work to replace all of the windows throughout our 30-year-old house, and will probably use them for a couple of other projects, too!
Wellington did not take out a permit to do the work and when I informed them it still took them two weeks and additional phone calls from me. Friends were suppose to get a referral bonus but they never did.
I have already given them 2 referrals and 1 has signed up already
May 8th, 2015, Wellington came to install 4 windows. 3 were done and my large bedroom window was boarded up because the window didn't fit. One screen had a hole and the installer said the next guy would fix it. I waited to hear from someone on Monday as promised and no one called me. On Wednesday I called to ask when the last one was planned for installation as my bedroom was boarded up. There was no planned installation of the missing window and they hadn't even told production the window was needed. I had to insist on getting it done within a week and they acted like they were doing me a favor. When the missing window was put in, there was no screen on their truck again so they took the screen frame and said it could be dropped off with the screen repaired. Then I opened the large main floor picture window and saw that a 4x1 inch chunk of the "wood" covering the plastic was coming off. I looked at the window from outside and saw that the first installer left caulk in foam insulation around the white outside of the main floor window. I called and asked to have someone fix that when they dropped off my screen. When I called and emailed with the problems, Tammy would not put me through to any manager or solve my problem and Troy did not help when I asked. I sent an email with pictures and questions and after enough of my phone calls someone scheduled repairs. The repairman was given the wrong information and time so it took until July 31st to get a screen and have answers and a nice repair to the messy outside work.I should not have had to beg to get my paid job completed. I would have been happy from the start if Troy had read my email and called with an apology followed up by a repair date that would take care of all issues. I have never had an experience like this in my lifetime.
Areas Of Satisfaction - John in service explained things and completed the work well.
The workmen at Wellington Home Improvements were very professional and did a wonderful job.
Remodeling Concerns - I was concerned about the quality of the windows. The salesperson showed me the difference between their windows and the competitors windows. I liked the quality of windows that Wellington Home Improvements have better. I also liked the price.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I was most satisfied with Wellington Home Improvements because of the installers. They did a great job. They tried to minimize the amount of debris from the work which was very nice. They worked together very well during the whole project.

The workmanship and quality of the merchandise was great.

Additional Comments - Wellington Home Improvements came out to do work for us three different times and we were very pleased with them each time! The service we have received from them has been very good. We really like our salesman Troy. Troy actually just called us yesterday to see if we were happy. We were very satisfied with the experience we had with Wellington.
Remodeling Concerns - I had concerns about the style of window needed. They very clearly told me my options and explained the pros and cons of each option.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I was most satisfied with all of the communication leading up to the install.
Repeat Business - My next project might be new siding but not for many years.
I will recommend Wellington. However, I will tell people to be very careful with the color choices. If they want a match, best to go a little lighter than darker. Samples are small, make sure the lighting is good when you make your choice. Once the windows are manufactured, that is that.
Wellington Home Improvements was very courteous and on time. If there was ever a problem they took care of it immediately. I would recommend them to anyone.
After I waited a month without hearing from wellington with an installation date I called my salesman. He seemed somewhat "put out' that I called him and suggested that I call Wellington scheduling. I asked him to do it. he said he would. I finally called scheduling and they were very cordial and set up a date for my installation. The installers were somewhat uncertain as to what the job included. As a result they had to go back to the shop to get addl material. Overall I'm OK with the gutters but not pleased with the ends on the downspouts or missing an end cap on one of the shout gutters. This review sounds rather harsh I'll admit BUYT I was expecting the same kind of service and attention I had received when I had a Wellington sliding glass door installed. That entire process , including measuring, matching trim and installation went perfectly. That's why I went back to Wellington for the gutters. My first experience with wellington set a high bar to measure up to. That's probably the main reason I was dissappointed with the second.
Quality windows that you can customize.
Their workmanship is poor at best and they will not call me back to fix all my issue with their installation. I'm going to go to better business bureau for help. I'm so disappointed with the whole installation. The caulking is disgusting and the door is bowed by a 1/2 " and is not plumb and that is just to name a few of the problems.
I would rate this statement a 2.5 or 3.
The installation crew is excellent.
I told my sister about my windows and doors, she called Craig and bought some!
I am still waiting for them to resolve an issue.
They addressed my concerns and took care of things.
Worst customer service ever! Poor craftsmanship when installing windows, did a bad cut on one window and just slapped a bunch of caulk over it (more or less tried to hide it), re-installed blinds incorrectly, constantly left doors open -- even while they took their lunch break.
Our "slider" windows are constructed in such a way that the screens simply slide open when the window is unlocked, allowing easy access to our home. We are totally dissatisfied with the security level of the windows and disappointed that this "feature" was not pointed out to us before ordering the sliders.
I did not have a good experience with Wellington. I believe that their customer service is poor and would not recommend them to anyone else.
I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE CREW.
I was very satisfied with the other windows I've gotten by them, but I think this was just a unique set of circumstances.
No way right now.If corrected I would.
The installation crew was especially careful during the part of the process that occurred during some rain showers. They cleaned up after themselves, but also prevented mess tracked in and out during the rain. Arron and Chris also explained process, care and potential maintenance. The new window/door exceeds my expectations for a replacement unit!
I would stipulate that they insist when they send someone out that they've been with the company for a while so that they know what they're doing.
I already have.
My first interaction with Troy was mostly positive. He gave a very good demo of the windows. When getting the right match for our woodwork he argued with me about the color match. I finally agreed to use the color he recommended and found out it didn't match. I talked to him again before the windows were installed and he said it was being taken care of. When the windows were installed the woodwork was not a match. I was frustrated and the installation crew was so good that we had them install the window as they were. The match was "close enough" so I didn't raise a complaint. We had two additional windows installed this spring and he did match the woodwork this time, and he instillation crew was again, excellent. I had a question about the cost and was under the understanding that these two windows would be included in the discount that we received with the 1st group of windows that were installed in Oct. of 2014. WE were told by Troy that if we ordered more windows within the year they would be included in the original discount. That didn't happen and we were told that because of the size(which were smaller than the original windows) there was a higher cost. Overall, I would not recommend people to use the windows if they have to work with Troy. WE are satisfied with how the windows work and the insulation value that was promised and did provide. The instillation crew was excellent and the windows are great. Tory also promised a $100 gift card to the people that referred me to wellington and he never delivered on this promise.
I couldn't be happier with the product and the professional attitude of everyone involved.
Both my wife and I were pleased with the salesman's explanations and the installation of a variety of windows including a rather large bay window. The windows and installation were top notch. A small issue arose but Wellington took quick action. Overall we would say we got what we wanted.
We've had Wellington install windows and patio doors prior to this. We were very satisfied with those. But this time it was lacking.
I have been a repeat customer of Wellington Home Improvements. They continue to meet or exceed my expectations for quality, value and service.
Wellington Home Improvements backs up their products with their warranty. We just needed to have more insulation put into previous windows they had installed, and they did that without a problem.
The installers went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with the end result.
Mixed feelings. I think price was reasonable but install left a bad taste.
Additional Comments - Jeanne said that she was very happy with the crew and how professional and respectful they were. She said it was cold and wet and not the easiest process, but that the crew was fantastic and they did a beautiful job. very happy with crew/cold wet process
The basement windows they installed were exactly what I needed and wanted. The old windows were in bad shape and let in cold air and were not at all secure.
