That means we handle the entire project "from concept to completion" our office is staffed by a certified, professional and friendly team of designers and project managers. For 30 years, we've been committed to integrity, excellence, and customer satisfaction for our residential and commercial clients.

The History of Starcom Design/ Build

• 1986 Starcom is founded by Robert Weickgennant and operated out of his home. Serving Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, the product line was limited to modest additions, siding, roofing and kitchens. • 1987 Starcom grows to include 2 work crews. • 1991 Starcom takes it's place as a full service Design/ Build firm, eliminating the gap between outside architects, and begins servicing clients seamlessly through the entire process. "Starcom Design/ Build" moves to a small 2 room office on route 108 in Columbia. Expands the team to include 3 work crews, an office manager and another sales person. The product line expands to include new home construction and commercial construction. • 1994 Starcom Design/ Build expands to 6 work crews, 3 full time sales staff, and establishes separate departments for accounting and production. The company moves to it's current location on Columbia 100 Pkwy and opens the interactive Design Center where customers can experience a hands on sales process as well as work with their designer on up to date design software. • Present Day Starcom Design/ Build has grown into one of the most respected Design/ Build firms in Maryland. Starcom uses the most current technology for a completely interactive sales experience for our customers as well as behind the scenes for our project managers and sales team.
